What did she do???

So I have officially joined the choir in my church... I know I know. I have no business exposing my poor friends at church to my voice. However, I've always thought I had a rather nice choir voice... best when drowned out by other people...

Last night was my first practice and my ex, of course, chose last night to have to drop the girls off early to me. So instead of making them sit in the church childcare center, I dropped them off with their absolutely, 100% cool and beloved Aunt Babby. Tabitha is my best friend from forever and also the girls' Godmother. They really love to go to Aunt Babby's house.

Choir practice went really well, I was put in the last row, of course :) But when I got to Aunt Babby's house to pick the girls up there was something I noticed about Emmalynn right off the bat. She had TAPE OVER HER MOUTH!!!

I asked Tabitha, "Did she get in trouble?". And she said, "Nope, she and Ethan started playing with the tape and that's what happened."

So she wore the tape home. While I was putting Bree to bed I got a call from my Mom and Dave. Of course Emma wanted to talk to her Granmama and PawPaw, so I told her she'd have to take the tape off. She mumbled okay and I started to take it off, she immediately started tripping out. I thought it was because the tape was hurting her... but no... she was mad because I'd taken the tape off!

Emmalynn refused to take the tape off of her mouth all night and ended up sleeping with it. She wanted to go to school with it on her mouth this morning and the only way I was able to convince her to take it off was to get her to floss... that's our new thing and she's totally into it.

So needless to say, this is another 'first' for me. First, it was the fact that I could say my kid put our dog in the toilet. Now, it's the fact that I can say that my kid LIKES to put tape over her mouth, and it didn't start as a diciplinary measure!
