Christmas Tree Hugs

We put our Christmas Tree up last Monday night and it was so much fun. This is the first year that Emmalynn is truely old enough to understand the excitement of Christmas time.

Every time we pull up to the house and I turn our Outside lights on, she says, "It's Christmas time!!!" - with such enthusiasm and awe. She loves Christmas songs and is all about hearing Santa Clause stories. So when it came time to decorate our tree I just knew that it would be precious.
I pulled out the tree and the box full of ornaments and let the girls dig around before getting involved. We only have a small, 4 foot, prelit, colored Christmas tree so it's very little but perfect for what we need.
I pulled the tree out, I put it all together, and then I plugged it in... Emmalynn's reaction was so precious.

She said "OH MY GOSH! OH MY GOSH! It's SO BEAUTIFUL!!!"... she held her arms up high in awe and then gave the Christmas tree a HUGE hug! It was perfect!

Emmalynn helped me put the ornaments on the tree and Breelynn helped eat the styrofoam containers for the breakable ornaments (not really but I did dig a few chunks out of those chubby cheeks before she could swallow)...

It was a wonderful evening and we had a blast talking about Santa Clause and decorating the tree.
